A new word that I(well...I am not as smart...sob SOB..) learnt recently-LIGATION
Extracts from the paper:
EVERY year about 20 to 25 women visit KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) seeking to reverse ligation.
Ligation is a process whereby fallapian tubes, which carry eggs from the ovaries to the uterus, are sealed off to prevent pregnancies. Of those who do, only three in four are successful in getting pregnant again.
Dr Loh said: Everyone can do a ligation. But not everyone can reverse it.
In Singapore, he estimates that there are no more than five surgeons who are able to do reversals.
Then there is the cost. 'It costs about $1,000 to have a ligation. To have it reversed costs $7,000,' he said.
Some people waited, prayed and tried all means to have babies but they are some who are willing to spend around $1000 to have a ligation carried out....If only it can be easier....
But that lead me to a question, that is if things(in general) are made any easier, will one really treasure it?
