If you were to ask me what is the one thing that I will be bringing along/away from P, it will be a partner that I can trust. Partner in crime..haha….parting now reminded me of the time when Jenny, Margaret, Mai and everyone else left BOT. It was the best partnership in work that I have ever encountered. I not only got a fren(not just a colleague) here but this is also one person who selflessly thought me much…as much as my craze for knowledge will push me to pester her for information.
Someone told me. This is a “good” training ground for you. It shouldn’t get any worse cos’ you have already seen the worst. Indeed. From biasness, unbalance workload, substandard leadership to unjustifiable rewarding system. They have it all..haha…
I will bring along the valuable lessons learnt.. =)

advance birthday celebration on 7/8/2010
We had an early celebration for my birthday on 7th Aug. Why so? Well..there’s the long weekend. We reckon that we will just take adv of that. Keke…
I didn’t expect such a big group but many turned up. Some “finally! After so many years!” meet up.
Some touching actions/thoughts:
-Daphne managed to smuggle the crepe cake out of Malaysia after much negotiation with the custom officer)
-A, who doesn’t have his car key with him) took a cab to and fro holland V to get me a backup cake from Da Paolo, in order to cheer me up
-Some showed up even though they were sick
-Everyone’s presence to play the Pinata
-The personalized gifts and thoughts(Lixian took a cab down to pass me around 24 packs of ding siang)
-Most importantly, the smile on everyone’s face when they leave the party!
It’s a special celebration for me. After 2010, status will be changed! winks

I feel like a little gal once again-back to the days of idols. Well…a distraction from my urge to want to get out of the dungeon so badly I guess. I am glad that A watched it together with me… haha…I am listening and watching their songs and drama scene almost every moment. In fact, I just joined their fan club on facebook. Haha…

it's not just a dog...
Lately, I have been seeing updates on FB on deserted dog. They come in all forms: downgraded from landed to HDB, old aged/sick dogs or simply “interest died off”, breeder/miller closed down. This is indeed disheartening. I saw the envy in others’ eyes whenever we walk Rex. “A” commented that it’s actually a cool sight for ppl to c me walking Rex(given his size). I really hope that ppl are not getting pets cos’ they feel that it’s part of accessorizing themselves…
I always believe in:- trust you judgmentàmade that decisionàbear the consequenceàlive with your decision.
But well, can’t expect all to adopt that philosophy ya…

Get out of that comfort zone..
She told me the other day that she doesn’t have my kind of issue at work. I felt like telling her that I know but it will be then only. What do I mean? When I was at B, no one dares to “touch” me cos’ I was a senior and I was there long enough. Felt like telling her that it will be a different story when she leave the place. In fact I could see it happening. Believe she is still ignorant of the impression that ppl had of her…I did hinted to her but she doesn’t seem to get it. Well…hopefully a new environment will make her true capability more apparent. Maybe only then will she truly grow when she is exposed to the “true” world. She need to get out of her comfort zone soon..

I believe in Karma
With H gone, it’s time for the truck to strike. Indeed, she had a major “overhaul” of the whole R&R. As much as she hated me, she is starting to show everyone how unprofessional she is…
As for the bulldozer, he got what he wanted. I was asked why bulldozer-well…u don’t have to have much capability. Just destroy what ever in front of u, cover up your obstacles to get what u wanted.
He might have gotten what he wanted but well…without the capability, I wonder how long he can stay up there to prove his worth.
I will not be around when Karma really happens but then I believe it will.
That day will be the day of justice..

angel from hell?
She made it all so transparent. After 3 years, I found myself saying, “I have enough”. There’s no point trying when she can’t be bothered. Glad all saw the true her. Not thru me but thru her own actions…Justice might not have been given to me but transparency is!
I am not sure how she had said her prayers but I know I can be true to myself and everyone else. =)
Now what? Just have to start looking. It’s time.

Viral infection
I have been sick for the longest time…wisdom tooth extraction follows by a few day/ weeks of dry socket. Now, viral infection. But the pain caused by the viral infection is worse than that of my wisdom tooth extraction.
This time round, I have problem even swallowing my own saliva. Strictly fluid diet but even so, it’s giving me much pain. Need to accumulate all my saliva before swallowing, Drinking requires much courage too..=(

resemblence
The more I observe her, the more I see the resemblance. They are both operationally good and are pleaser. They thrive to perform, to be well-like, and to be deem as the best. Like it or not, it’s just too obvious and I am not the only one who noticed that. It’s even more obvious when both of them are stressed up.

No government
Government is not around. Guess what-not surprising at all, he was on the phone 80% of the time. Like what A said. 80% of the work in a company is done by 20% of the staffs..I think he is right.
As for him. He’s really a classic demonstration of “I just need to be a good employee in front of the right ppl at the right time”. Tsk.
One day, I might just go up to him and tell him off. =P

Latest update on my tooth
The throbbing has disappeared…but somehow the pain has been transferred elsewhere…it’s moving up my head..what do I mean? Ringing sound in my ear and migraine. Into the 5th day….arghhh…when will this be over? Only consolation for me is that I am starting to take harder food-like bread, rice and fish and chawamushi…keke…

blood!
Just when I thought that my wisdom tooth condition shouldn't get any worse, I got blood oozing out from the wound...
Seriously, all hope and optimism gone at the sight of the blood.
sigh..

Dry Socket
First wisdom tooth, I went for an extraction. Due to my high metabolism, the anesthetic effect was off halfway thru the extraction. I was crying. Had an inflammation days after.
This time round, due to the condition(inflammation, size of the tooth, alignment and phobia from the last extraction) I opted for sedation. What did I end up with? Dry Socket! arghh....can I get any luckier!
Extracted from Wikipedia:
In dentistry, a dry socket is a layman's term for alveolar osteitis. The alveolus is the part of the jawbone that supports the teeth, and osteitis means simply “bone inflammation”. It is an irritation of the bone open to the oral cavity after the loss of or premature disintegration of the blood clot.
Signs and symptoms
As with any extraction of a tooth, some pain is to be expected, as the gums surrounding the former location will be damaged to a certain degree. This is especially so in extractions of impacted wisdom teeth, which may not have properly erupted; in these cases, the gums are cut open to allow access to the tooth, then sutured shut.
However, a dry socket typically presents as a sharp and sudden increase in pain commencing 2–5 days following the extraction of a tooth, most commonly the third molar. It can also be accompanied by a foul taste or smell.
The pain, which often radiates up and down the head and neck, can be extremely unpleasant for the patient. It will often cause pain in the ears as well. A dry socket is not an infection, and is not directly associated with swelling because it occurs entirely within bone — it is a phenomenon of inflammation within the bony lining of an empty tooth socket.
True alveolar osteitis, as opposed to simple postoperative pain, occurs in only about 5–10% of extractions (primarily of the lower molar teeth). No one knows for certain how or why dry sockets develop following dental extraction but certain factors are associated with increased risk.
There is no real treatment for dry socket — it is a self-limiting condition that will improve and disappear with time — but certain interventions can significantly decrease pain during an episode of dry socket. These interventions usually consists of a gentle rinsing of the inflamed socket followed by the direct placement within the socket of some type of sedative dressing, which soothes the inflamed bone for a period of time and promotes tissue growth. This is usually done without anesthesia.[4] The active ingredients in these sedative dressings usually include natural substances like zinc oxide, eugenol, and oil of cloves. It is usually necessary to have this done for two or three consecutive days, although occasionally it can take longer. Because true dry socket pain is so intense, additional analgesics are sometimes prescribed

Dish 9-tom yam
DIsh 8-Melting choco pot
Asked her for the recipe. Guess what she told me? “U sure u wanna make it?” When I finally receive the receipe from her, I knew what she meant. She has improvised the recipe. As usual, she’s a pro. Haha!
Coincidentally, Nigella was teaching something similar to that on TV. I tried. Nothing compared to sis’ version but it’s seriously not bad…or so I thought. Given that I didn’t have expectation as high as sis’. =P

Dish 6:Blue cheese Salad
There’s so much recipe on blue cheese from my collection.
That day, I decided to try out one of these receipes. A helped with the dressing(he’s so much better in this).
I have to say that it’s not bad but given that it’s blue cheese, my advice is moderation. Don’t be too ambitious with the amount that you are adding to the dressing.

Dish 4: Huang Li Su
With the CNY around the corner, I decided to try making some “hua li su”. It used to be a family tradition to make then till dad passed away…We wasn’t able to find our “secret” recipe(must be buried somewhere at mum’s plc). I followed the recipe that I found in the newspaper. Well…I still prefer the OUR recipe…

Dish 1: Scrambled eggs for A
I have to admit that I can so relate to the show Julie & Juliet, esp the part when Julie explained to the husband(like me) thatcooking is something that u have control over the output of the dish for the effort you have put into creating the dish.
First dish tried/extracted from and after watching J&J is what I call scrambled egg for “A”..keke…I didn’t know that so much butter and cream has to be added to the scrambled egg!
did I do? I created a healthier version. Less butter and cream.. thus- a less watering version..keke..

She's from Hell
I tried but still I am getting hell from her. She’s bias and it’s very obvious. At least to our group. And that is scary. My wish is that ppl will get to see the real her. How did she answer for her behavior in front of god?

I experienced the magic in Disneyland-HK today.
A land of fantasy.
Dreams do come true.
Disneyland makes a difference to me now, or rather to us. =)
