Back to haunt me

I didn't expect it to come back. I thought it was all over after 7yrs....well, I am re-living that nightmare all over again.

It started like 5 days back. I got this back pain. Convinced myself that the pain was due to my mensus but when the pain got worse. I know it wasn't so..

The pain is when i am walking, lying down, sitting down or even when I am stationary..

Doc confirmed this morning that it might be attributed to that old injury...I have to watch and see. If the pain does go away, I will have to go to a specialist.

Not again...

Fish Spa

Got to check out the Fish Spa with some friends. It was ticklish at the start when the fishes swim towards your legs and started to nibble away from the dead skin. After which, it becomes pretty comfortable I almost dozed off. keke...

Nini has been LS-ing...brought her to the vet. Vet mentioned it could be due to the weather. Somehow, I find it hard to accept his explanation...

Love

I felt helpless. In fact we all do. As young and first time parents, they really didn't know what to expect. Just like what he said,"when other babies cry, it doesn't matter. Just let them cry but when it is yours, the whole mentality is different"

I can feel love in the air. I can feel all of these:

-Everyone's joy over the new member...

-Everyone's concern and helplessness over the crying baby and the fact that Ember refusing to suckle....

-A mother focusing all her attention on the baby, oblivious of everything else even though she's physically drained.

-The couple and family members happy and excited to update everyone with the process and all


There's so much emotions involved..You have to be there to feel it. I felt it-greatly. Outside the room, I saw and felt the same thing happening to the other families...

The wonders a newborn can bring along...

Have not been following all these drama for the longest time but lately, a friend past me 太王四神記. Another marathon for me. I finished the whole drama within 2 days..keke...

Attention should be on the main lead/actor which is Bae Yong Jun 談德/桓雄 but pretty face Lee Philip who starred in 青龍 caught my attention.

青龍-one of the four gods of the king. He was initially a hideous looking "monster", a scary character in the battlefield. In fact, it was said that he didn't really need his troop at all.

What is behind this mask?

Pretty face right? In fact I thought he looks prettier than some girls(but I really wonder if he has went thru any surgeory given that it's so popular in Korea..). =P

青龍, a formidable character, a secret admirer of 秀芝妮 (who is in love with the king) is always secretly looking out for her...

High expectation?

Question was raised to the only person that is still single,"what is your criteria?"


Answer was,"it's very simple. He just have to be more humourous, smart, knowlegable....(blar blar blar) then me"


He and my eyes meet. I could see that he was trying hard not to laugh or even smile.


Why?


Well...it's alright to have a long list of criteria on your wish list but shouldn't we also conduct a check on our expectation and our bargaining power? Are they realistic? Do you have what it take to demand for all that?

Sympathy anyone?

Over lunch, I heard this kid(probably poly first yr..) telling another friend that he has something very important to share with everyone and that he will only share the news when everyone arrives.

so when everyones arrives, this guy got really serious and said,"look here, I have something very impt to let all of u know. My mum has lost her job. I will need to help out with the family financially. I need a job."

Momentarily, there was silence. Suddenly, one guy spoke up,"you can come to my pub to work but I don't think u can take it"

Another went on to say, I need to find a job to buy a car.

Someone added on by asking,"what car?! how much installment do u have to pay? When did u pass? I am going thru mine..(blar blar blar)"

I took a peep at that boy. He was looking down, staring into the open space infront of him...Where did all the sympathy go? Are we all sunny days friends only?

26th Aug

We are all going to see Ember on 26th Aug!!!!

Based on the combination of her parents, she will definitely be:

-healthy
-pretty
-cheerful

-optimistic

-witty

In a nutshell, she's gonna be a truly blessed baby! ^_^

Why?

Was sharing with someone on the following scenarios that I had encountered lately:




-people who boast about their seniority, salary and experience when they really don't know that where they are today is basically due to the duration that they have stayed in the company

-people who claim that they know everything and can't accept that others might know more than them

-people who claims that they have tons of suitors but my qns was are they really good catch? er....in my opinion, the profile is "pls be cautious"

-people who claim that they have everything within their control when in actual fact, things/people have only allowed him/her to believe that is so.

-people who victimised themselves when actually they have victimised and make a fool out of others..

-people who craves for attention and they will go all out to get it all.

-friends who only appear when they needed help.




The person's reply was, "Why then did u still hang around these people?"

The person goes on to explain that it's all about personality and choice. Some wants to be hear/seen, to feel important, to be deem as the best, etc..It's all about choice. Whether u allow yourself to be put thru all these personal intentions. Person's argument was if it's my choice to allow for that, then I should qns myself why..

38 lost 8 kg

After rearranging for like 3 times or more, I finally got to meet 38. As usual, not successful to take any photo with her but who cares! Conversation was great. 38 lost 8kg! And it seems like she's pretty determined this time round and I am seeing the results! I need to do something...argh!!!


U have my shopping list ya? I will remember to drop u an sms on my shopping list before you leave for Korea! wahaha! You can run but u cannot hide. wahaha! =P


BTW, thanks for the super duper filling dinner birthday treat. i am feeling super bloated now. At 12 midnight....

1 whole chicken, 1 huge bowl of fish cum liver porridge to go with my favourite pepper salted cuttlefish is just too much...

Truly a surprise

First update after my birthday..

Well, the celebration has turned out to be somewhat a surprise! =)

Thanks to the following:
-the "committee" for coming up with the surprise party
-my family and the other families and friends that took the precious time to celebrate my bd with me
-for the gifts, well wishes, treats and wonderful company

Is this real?

With all the stories, experiences and thoughts shared, I can't help but wonder, are all those feelings real? Or is it just a momentary thing? Could we be jumping out from a mess to yet another mess? But well, aren't we old enough to weigh it all and decide whether we are game enough for the new ride and to bear the consequences of our decision?


Afterall, these are learning experiences that makes us grow and appreciate the fine things in life...


It's all about choice.


Falling is alright. The most important thing is to stand up and move on again..

The best gift

I took the day off to pamper myself. In fact, it's a present for myself. I know I deserve it..

I finally got to meet HER! As usual, time was what we were constrained by...

As you grow older, where priority and everything changes...it's a blessing that there's still frens like this around. Someone who doesn't require much attention, much talking, explanation and such but accept you for who u truly are...

The old staffs are no longer then. Having checked my record, my last visit was like a yr ago! Been a while ya...

Tried almost everything there. Spent like an hour there...have to pass 38 my shopping list before her holiday! wahahah!

Part 5: Dinner
Before I know, I was late for my appt. FIC called and complained!

Part 6: Hair
No appointment made but Dicky was able to work on my hair. Another good experience-nice colour!

Anyway, that was how I spent my day the way I want it just when everyone else was working...keke..

A pity though that I wasn't able to meet Ms "protect me". Hope she's feeling much better now.

A long week

It was a long week...

Alarming updates, lunch and dinner appts, work(as always), arrangement of every sort...I should have complained but I am feeling truly blessed with the trust, tolerance, companionship, and the support rendered.


Every day is a lesson, an experience for me. Everyday is a gift. Everyday is a surprise.

Basilico

Spent approximately $80 each for the buffet at Basilico! The most expensive buffet I had tried so far!! I have to admit though that the ingredients used are really top grade(seafood, meat, cheese,desert and all)...argh...hungry all over again!!!

Located on the second level of The Regent serves an good mix of fresh, seasonal and authentic Italian cuisine, both a la carte and buffet. Highlights include a rotisserie, traditional wood-fired pizzas, an espresso bar, walk-in wine cellar and hand crafted desserts.

Trust me, they are reallyyyyyyyyyy good!

I was never a pizza person but pizza made here is really different!!! Check out the traditional margherita basilico-classic italian pizza with mozzarella, tomato and basil baked in our wood fired ovens. Yummy!

To make your $$$ worth, check out the Truffles dish! Expensive stuffs k!
