THE ROAD

Someone's personal msg on msn caught my attention 2 days in a row-Ms Snowman's...and it got me thinking....

It's just so interesting how individuals' road cross at different stages of our lives...and such drastic twists...some roads u continue to walk, hoping to discover the better scenaries and surprises along the way...some roads u never wanna look back...some-you simply do not have the courage to check out....but there must be one that u enjoy walking so much.....it becomes part of you... =)

STomACH fLU

Stomache flu...What ever it is...It has caused me to vomit, body aches, headaches, feeling cold, er...the unavoidable toilet trips...and somehow it had turned me into a sleeping machine....slept like anything...-_-

The nature qns that was posted to the doc was-"what's the cause?". According to the doc...this is something that is airborne...it can be thru any means from the environment....say for instance...if someone burps, n u breathes in(which u naturally do)-of course-not intentionally when it comes to the burp ya...

I wasn't really somber yesterday...but when I sit back this morning and think about what the doc said again.....one person came to my mind-the trouble-maker:REX

Well...the poor boy was sick too(over the weekend)...he was all whinny...esp in the middle of the night...he did the vomit action but for some reason, can't....in fact, what is most worrying is the fact that he didn't pee or poop for one whole day....and he continue to sleep. Nothing seems to interest him...not even food...so when he finally poop(it's actually lao sai), we were so happy!

well...that's the reason why I suspected REx was the culprit for for stomache flu...same symptoms ya...

Meet Mr Subaru

Meet Mr Subaru. He's suspposed to be Mr Rex's friend after a simple introduction made by SOMEONE but for some reason...the "friendship" was so great that when I turn around...one of Mr Subaru's legs was already in Mr Rex mouth....-_-

To save Mr Subaru from the same fate as Mr "ripped-apart" Monkey, we decided to isolate both parties....in fact, Mr Rex can only stare at Mr Subaru now....

Once again! "da ping guo" had saved another potential victim!

My friday is wasted just like that...

just when time is one of your most precious resources and u actually needed to squeeze it dry in order to maximise the use of it in every area possible...and "UNCERTAINTY" comes along and rob u of what ever u have planned? What if in addition came accusation? How would u feel?

I have no words to describe that for now....Or rather, I just don't wanna to....in case something harsh comes out from my mouth...but I sure have a lesson learnt.

Choose wisely.

Da Ping Guo(big apple)

Someone commented that he suspected that Rex is so attached to me for a simple reason-ie he associates me with FOOD....especially with apples cos' Rex had never taken so much apple before he met me....

Guess that might explain why he can be so excited when he sees me that he can even jump onto me everytime I see him...but well....can that someone please remind rex that he's not a pup anymore? And that he's a lab that is as tall as me when he stands up!? haha!

Well...with my growing size....I think I am looking to be more like a "da ping guo" to Mr Rex now.....

By the way, that's a pc of green apple on Mr Rex's paw....keke....he's waiting for the command to gobble down that...keke

After I have updated the previous blog...it occurs to me...there's another strings of sms that I have received over the last few days which has affected me in some ways too....and I just wanna take the opportunity to salute to Mothers(and in-laws) out there....in fact those wonderful women out there.

What is this?

I was recommended something that looks like the following(but just that it is bigger) when I was in Shanghai last year...not knowing what it is...I bought like half a kg...crazy? well...maybe....or maybe not-because I was being told by the salesperson that this thing is good for the throat. You can eat it just as it is or make it into a drink....

Something really interesting about this is that it's not really sour or sweet....but the more u eat, the more addicted you are....and I mean it! If you know what this is, please drop me a mail ya?

Talking about that...I was in a tuk tuk at this junction a few hours ago....where the driver was being stopped and fined for no reason....and the TP refused to explain further....hmmm...wonder what the driver or anyone in similar circumstances will do-given that the fine amount is equivalent to their month's salary.....

Imagine this:-just when u were totally engrossed in a native place, mesmerized by the things happening around you, suddenly, an elephant pops out of no where...

So naturally....out of curiousity, I watched on...I saw the elephant handlers approaching the stall owners and the tourist asking if they wanna buy the bags of food that they have to feed the young elephant....there's just so many interesting ways of earning a living ya.....

er...the photos are a bit blur cos' I was too scared to stand any nearer.. =P

1st Mooncake I ATE...

yes yes yes....I am convinced! The S&P durian mooncake is indeed impressing.....someone has managed to make me eat mooncake after all...the first mooncake that I have actually taken! haha!

So, anyone of you going to BKK around this period-check out the S&P outlet(they have one at the airport itself)-not sure if this is a festive thingy though. Well...the food @ S&P is good too!

Great FOOD!

I would say-this trip sure is different...for obvious reasons...

With a good tour guide this time round, I find myself moving around BKK like a local.. checking out their favourite hangouts and my all-time-favourite, FOOD! And the best part-good food @ super reasonable price! Hipyee!

Check out some of the photos that I had managed to capture before wolfing down those food. Only issue is my own capacity! wahahaha And YES-you are right! there's so much more....but er.....I was just too hungry(or rather greedy)....keke...

Papaya salad that I can't get enough of...

What intrigued me most is their eat all you can 89 baht(approximately S$4) steamboat cum bbq! Sure is an experience cooking using this funny device...took me a while to get used..

The crepes-arghhh!!!!! so cheap! To think that we actually queue up for overpriced crepes.....hmmmm...

Shanghai Inn @ BKK

Check out this boutique hotel that was discovered in Bangkok! Hmmm...how should I describe this...it felt like staying in modern "old Shanghai" when you are in the hotel itself....but when you are out of it-it's welcome to Bangkok!

CRUEL

Budget terminal

A piece of advice (1 cent worth) to my friends out there....if you are flying out from the budget terminal for the first time-check in early!!!! Real EARLY!

Guess what? We check in like an hr earlier...and already we are put in the last row! sob sob...=(

good old days....

In the all so often + no choice(wahaha!) chit-chatting with DC today, the conversation went naturally to the good old days....

Days that I will look forward to go to work..where colleagues weren't really colleagues...where work wasn't really work(sounds funny ya!)...well...I or rather we were really young then....

Ah M, MK, JG, DC, ES, RW and ST-don't u think so?

I have to admit...I have not met up with some of them for a LONG LONG time but these ppl and so many more had really made my stay there extremely interesting..

An incredible combination of fresh roasted macadamia nuts and creamy vanilla filling, coated with white chocolate. A must try for white chocolate lovers.


Trust me-you don't want to miss this! In fact I am craving for it now.....

In fact, the cake is not the only thing that wow me that night....the company did(in a very interesting way)....hmm...how should I put it? I felt like a kid with them man! haha! Great sense of humour, good food and interesting experiences to share......
